Samar Camp Meeting

I had been invited to the Annual Samar Camp Bible Believers Meeting in Baquiw Island in Samar just this April 24th to the 27th, 2007 by host-pastor Doming Ompad. It was a long trip from Manila to Sorsogon by bus and then from Bulan we took a boat for 5 hours to Baquiw Island where the venue of the camp was situated. It was an enjoyable four-day event. Believers and ministers from all over the country met there for fellowship. On the way home, we took the boat route to Calbayog and dropped by Pastor Felipe Salazar's home. Here are some of the photos I've taken from the camp

My Design Concept Class

Finally came our final project submissions in DESNCON at CSB. Each of my students was required to design a miniature prototype of their P.O.P's (Point-Of-Purchase) models for the company (product or service - existing or new) they wanted to promote in the market. Majority used their initial baby project which started with a design rationale, logo design, brochure, flyers, coupled with advertising collaterals. The criteria were as follows: (25%) Visual Marketing Appeal, (25%) Functionality & Space Organization, (25%) Graphic Design and Color Dynamics, and (25%) Durability of Modelmaking Materials & Quality of Finished Product. They were asked to deliberate on each project along with the presentation of a Concept Paper. I documented each one's project to make sure they've really submitted. Here are some of their happy faces along with their respective model

Longest Painting on Continuous Canvas

National Irrigation Administration (NIA) has recently launched a project called "Fishes of the Ocean: Longest Painting On Continuous Canvas" involving Fine Arts schools, local artists and painters, to collaboratively complete a kilometer-long (or even longer) painting masterpiece. This project was opened to all painting aficionados and volunteer-artists from all walks of life. NIA will have this finished product entered in as an entry to the Guinness Book of Records competition this year. Here are some snap shots which I took from out of this very exciting event (Date: October 16, 2006 at the NIA Gymnasium).

Book of Genesis

THE MYSTERY OF THE SERPENT SEED

"And the LORD God said unto the WOMAN, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, the serpent BEGUILED me, and I did EAT. And the Lord God said unto the SERPENT, because thou hast done this, thou art CURSED above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy BELLY shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life. AND I WILL PUT ENMITY between THEE and the WOMAN, and BETWEEN thy SEED and HER SEED; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." - (Genesis 3:13-15)

For years we have been taught and believed that Adam and Eve, our first parents in the garden of Eden, ate an apple from the tree in the midst of the garden, and through this act of disobedience the whole world plunged into sin.

Why should it be an apple when apples were never mentioned in the Word of God in reference to the Garden of Eden? Although the Bible speaks that they were not to eat of the TREE of the knowledge of good and evil, ...

THE MYSTERY OF THE GODHEAD

Having a personal relationship with God is a key to success in life. Know more about God by reading my article below.

God, all throughout the Old Testament did not have a body, but appeared to the people in different forms, such as the Burning Bush to Moses, the Cloud by day, and the Pillar of Fire by night, to the children of Israel. Though He sent His angels to many who appeared as men, but no one ever saw God in physical form until Jesus Christ was born. John 1:18 says, "No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him".

GOD IS A SPIRIT

The Scripture states that, "God is a Spirit; and they that worship Him, must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth" (John 4:24). God hath, before the foundation of the world, already foreseen the fall of man by the transgression of Adam and Eve, and He required a Perfect Atonement, a sacrificial Lamb, to redeem men from their fallen estate. Hebrews 9:22 states that, "Almost all...

Finger Prayer

Finger Prayer

1. Your thumb is nearest to you. So begin your prayers by praying for
those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once said, a "sweet duty."

2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach,
instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers.

3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders.
Pray for the president, leaders in business and industry, and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need God's guidance.

4. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the fact
that this is our weakest ! finger; as any piano teacher will testify. It
should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much fo...
